1975
George Offley founds G.W. Offley and Associates in Edmonton Alberta. The Company is eventually joined by Dennis Shepp, Bill Johnman, Roger Maslen, Nelson Ostrup and Geoff Frisby. They changed the name of G. W. Offley and Associates to Shepp Johnman Investigations in 1980 and by 2003 they had offices in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver with over 40 staff.
1979
Ron Harvey, former RCMP Commercial Crime Investigator started Special Investigation Consultants in Calgary Alberta. Lance Saunders and Ray Renaud acquire the business and they eventually changed the name to BSG Corporation. They grew the business with pre-employment screening, Confidence Line and Mystery Shopping with Offices in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta with over 50 staff.
1988
Fred Bodnaruk founds Fred Bodnaruk Investigations Services Ltd. He is Joined by Kevin Cahoon, Ray Kielan, Ken Cahoon and later by Matt Henschel, Herb Cahoon and Joe Tkach. They grew the business with Investigations, Security Consulting and HRscreening services; with offices in Victoria, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Kelowna and Vancouver with over 50 staff.
1991
Canpro Investigative Services Inc. is created by Robert Burns, Fred Maile, Gord Grenon in Burnaby, British Columbia. They grow the business specializing in Investigations and Security Consulting services across British Columbia with over 40 staff.
1994
Shepp Johnman and Bison Security Group are founders of Investigations Canada, a national referral network with over 300 professional Investigations from coast to coast.
2000
FBIG changes name to Fred Bodnaruk Investigations Group. FBIG joins the Investigations Canada network.
2001
Kane Investigations in Kelowna BC, changes its name to FBIG and represents the Okanagan region.
2002
Canpro Pacific and FBIG merge operational divisions, though remain separate brands. Interior Investigations in Kamloops, BC joins the Canpro/FBIG Group of Companies to represent iInterior region of BC.
2004
FBIG Loss Prevention Ltd. is created with Warren Griffey as Managing Partner, a subsidiary of the Canpro/FBIG Group of Companies.
2005
Canpro/FBIG Group of Companies acquires Verifact Investigations in Prince George, BC and Liberty Investigations in Vancouver, BC.
2006
Canpro/FBIG Group of Companies re-brand as Canpro Global Services Inc. - a risk mitigation company with five distinct brands. Robert Burns is voted in as President.
2007
Canpro Global acquires BSG Corporation and Hammer & Associates in Calgary, AB and Shepp Johnman Investigations in Edmonton, AB.
2008
Canpro Global acquires Fife Technical Safety & Rescue Consulting Ltd. Founded by Mark Pfeifer and Jason Hindson in Vancouver, BC.
Canpro opens international offices in Cypress, and signs a service agreement with the National Security Institute, Abu Dhabi.
2009
Canpro signs a Joint Venture Partnership with GI Security, with a team of over 10, 000 person nel, to service clients in India. www.canprogisecurity.com.
Canpro opens an office in Afghanistan providing secured accommodation to international personnel and organizations. www.canproafg.com
2010
Canpro opens an office in Winnipeg , Manitoba with Regional Manager Bob Fowle, to service clients in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Canpro Global, with a team of over 400 person nel, managed multiple contracts for Canadian and International organizations, enabling them and the public to enjoy a safe and successful Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada.
President Robert Burns was a finalist and runner up in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award.
